Meet John Carter, whose vision for evolving with this industry, led him to create Powered Solutions with Alan. John has worn many hats in the low voltage industry from technician, to the owner of Multimedia Solutions for now over 20 years. While being a lifelong learner and entrepreneur, he felt creating an electrical division alongside of Multimedia Solutions was needed to provide clients with the most thorough and flawless experience. John grew up in Atlanta Georgia, but found he would call Dallas his home after moving to the area while in middle school. He is a devoted fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Dallas Cowboys. John and his wife Jen have been married for over 25 years, and have two daughters, Madeline and Grace.

John has a vision and excitement for the industry that is contagious to all; and a caring spirit that is reflected in his life at home, as well as business.

Meet our Master Electrician and co-founder, Alan Robertson. Alan joined John in creating Powered Solutions, to realize his dream of combining his enjoyment of being an electrician, and seeing the end product come to life in high end finishes and automation. Alan has been an electrician for over 30 years. He began his career when his father, a postman, delivered mail to a company “looking for help”, and he applied. Alan has been married for over 28 years to his wife Randi. They have two children, a daughter Kaylie, and a son Ethan. He enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as fishing, camping and hunting.

His passion for quality and love of the industry is what sets Alan apart and makes his knowledge immeasurable.
